Gabriel Martinez
Gabriel Martinez has been around the Montreal Baseball Academy for years. It started in 2013 when he played fallball with the MBA 12U team, the Montreal Giants. A few years passed then Gabriel officially joined MBA as a coach in 2021 when the team was still named the Tri-Lake Monsters.
Gabriel Martinez has been around the Montreal Baseball Academy for years. It started in 2013 when he played fallball with the MBA 12U team, the Montreal Giants. A few years passed then Gabriel officially joined MBA as a coach in 2021 when the team was still named the Tri-Lake Monsters.
From 2021 up until summer of 2022, Gabriel was the hitting coordinator and coach of the catchers of the MBA program.
In 2021, Gabriel committed to the Western Oklahoma State College (NJCAA) where he's now in his second year.
Even though Gabriel is more than 2,700 km away from Montreal, he's still working with our hitters by analyzing their swings in the videos of the training sessions.
During the college baseball off-season, Gabriel is back in Montreal and continue to work with our hitters and catchers.

Yuri Yokoyama
Yuri Yokoyama has been around the Montreal Baseball Academy for a few years, but he officially joined MBA as a coach in 2021 when the team was still named the Tri-Lake Monsters.
Yuri Yokoyama has been around the Montreal Baseball Academy for a few years, but he officially joined MBA as a coach in 2021 when the team was still named the Tri-Lake Monsters.
From 2021 up until summer of 2022, Yuri was the pitching coordinator and coach of the MBA program.
Possessing a double citizenship (Canadian and Japanese), Yuri always wanted to play professional baseball in Japan. In August 2022, Yuri left Canada for Japan in order to try out for a few Japanese teams.
Yuri signed, in October 2022, a 2 year contract as a pitcher with the Osaka Zeroroku Bulls in the Professionnal Baseball Sawakami Kansai Independant League in Japan.

Even though Yuri is more than 10,000 km away from Montreal, he's still working with our pitchers by analyzing their techniques with the videos of their training sessions.
During the Japanese baseball off-season, Yuri will be back in Montreal and will continue to work with our pitchers.
